This is a great pattern. Easy to understand. Works up in no time.

  2. confused but pleased. 4 Star Review

Posted by on 12th Feb 2018

I finally got the pattern right but I had to reload the beads. When looking at the pattern, I assumed that "Double stripe" was the double stripe. As it turned out, the "base" was the double stripe and the "double stripe" was a single stripe. The way it's written can be cofusing. I expected "double stripe"to mean 2 stripes as in the LIGHT gray that's pictured. I chose different colors and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I added 2 extra sections to each cord to lengthen it.

Sally's note. If you look at the photo, there is one red stripe that swirls around the braid. There are two dark gray stripes the swirl around in the opposite direction. That's is what is meant by double stripe.

Easy to follow directions for someone new to kumihimo. Fun thinking of different color combinations. I think next time I will make it longer.

  4. Argyle Pattern 5 Star Review

I downloaded this pattern to make for Christmas bracelets, in white, red and green. I love how it came out. I found I needed to be careful when loading the beads as correct placement is essential. Human error the first time, after that I was fine.

I love the design for this necklace and since I have the bead colors I want I purchased the pattern only. I like Sally's pattern instructions because they are concise, logical and the layout designs are easy to follow.
Sally ALWAYS answers emails and phone calls quickly and is a wonderful seller of kumi products!

This is the first pattern I have done from Sally and it looks lovely but you must count the beads very carefully I counted twice and still got one strand wrong but it was easy to fix.
I've already got my next pattern

  8. Argyle Pattern Kumihimo Necklace 5 Star Review

Posted by on 13th May 2014

This was my first ever attempt to make a patterned kumihimo beaded braid. I did not understand what "dot to dot" meant in the directions. I downloaded Sally's Free Intro to Kumihimo and this "dot to dot" was explained. I enjoyed making this very much and look forward to making another of Sally's patterns.

  9. Love the project! 4 Star Review

Posted by on 4th Feb 2014

Love the project pattern. Not hard to read and follow however since I'm a newbie to reading patterns I was surprised that the total length of the completed piece was approximately 15-16 inches and had to add more sections to make it longer. Now I know for the future! Love the pattern though and will definite continue to make it for the future!
